Role Description The Commi – Indian section role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The role involves supporting the Indian kitchen team with daily mise en place, basic cooking, and food preparation under the guidance of senior chefs. Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of curries, tandoor items, breads, and regional Indian dishes, following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.



The Commi is expected to maintain high hygiene and safety standards, ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients, and help keep the kitchen clean and organized. The role also requires effective communication with team members, timely execution of orders during service, and readiness to learn new techniques and menu items. Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Food Preparation and Cooking, with basic Culinary Skills in Indian cuisine.
• Commitment to Hygiene, food safety standards, and proper sanitation practices in the kitchen.
• Good Communication skills to coordinate smoothly with kitchen and service teams.
• Ability to follow instructions, work in a fast-paced workplace, and maintain attention to detail.
• Prior experience in a professional kitchen, particularly in the Indian section, is an advantage.
• Relevant culinary diploma or certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as per operational requirements.
