JOB DESCRIPTION SAFETY ENGINEER

Qualification: Diploma/Degree with a recognized Safety qualification

Job Objective

To independently manage all site safety activities, safety documentation, risk assessment, and compliance at fabrication, erection, and infrastructure project sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Site Safety Management: Independently handle daily site safety inspections, PPE compliance, housekeeping, barricading, and safe working practices.
- HIRA & Risk Assessment: Prepare and implement HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment), JSA (Job Safety Analysis), and risk control measures.
- High-Risk Activities: Monitor working at height, lifting operations, welding, gas cutting, grinding, and steel erection activities.
- Safety Documentation: Maintain daily/weekly/monthly safety reports, inspection checklists, work permits, toolbox talk records, training records, and incident reports.
- Safety Training: Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions for workers and supervisors.
- Legal & Client Compliance:



Ensure applicable safety requirements are followed and maintain records for client audits and inspections.
- Incident Management: Report and investigate accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Emergency Preparedness: Monitor first-aid facilities, fire safety equipment, emergency procedures, and mock drills.
- Independent Site Handling: Take complete responsibility for site safety, documentation, compliance follow-ups, and regular reporting to project management.

Required Skills

- Ability to independently manage complete site safety operations and documentation.
- Knowledge of HIRA, JSA, work permits, and risk assessment.
- Experience in fabrication, steel erection, and infrastructure projects preferred.
- Good communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and safety report preparation.
