JOB DESCRIPTION – PROJECT ENGINEER (CIVIL)Job Title: Project Engineer – Civil

Department: Project Management / Engineering

Location: T. Nagar, Chennai

Experience Required: 2 to 5 Years

Educational Qualification:

- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering (with relevant project execution experience).
- Candidates with additional qualifications in Construction Project Management will be preferred.
- Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, execute, and monitor construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop project execution plans, construction schedules, timelines, and work programmes.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Managers, Architects, Structural Consultants, Contractors, and Vendors.
- Study and interpret architectural, structural, plumbing, electrical, and other engineering drawings.
- Ensure construction work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and project requirements.
- Monitor project progress against planned schedules and ensure timely completion.
- Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, material requirements, and resource allocation plans.
- Monitor labour deployment, productivity, material consumption, and site expenses.
- Coordinate procurement of construction materials and ensure availability as per project schedules.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction quality and workmanship.
- Implement quality control procedures and ensure compliance with construction standards.
- Identify project risks, delays, and technical challenges and take corrective actions.




- Ensure compliance with construction safety regulations and site safety procedures.
- Conduct project review meetings and coordinate with management regarding project status.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Maintain project documentation, work schedules, measurement records, and execution reports.
- Coordinate with clients for project updates, inspections, and handover requirements.
- Ensure project completion within the approved budget, timeline, and quality standards.
- Experience Requirements2 to 5 years of experience in civil construction and project execution.
- Experience in residential apartment and building construction projects.
- Knowledge of foundation, RCC works, brickwork, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, plumbing, and finishing works.
- Strong understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost estimation.
- Knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity surveying, and material estimation.
- Experience in contractor management, labour coordination, and vendor management.
- Ability to monitor multiple construction sites and manage project teams.
- Knowledge of construction quality standards,



safety regulations, and site procedures.
- Ability to handle project deadlines, resolve technical issues, and manage execution challenges.
