1. 2. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform fitting, assembly, marking, cutting, drilling, grinding, and finishing activities for fabricated components.
2. Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, dimensions, and assembly details.
3. Work on sheet metal components, heavy structural fabrication, frames, supports, panels, and industrial equipment.
4. Perform fitting and assembly of tanks, ducts, hoppers, enclosures, and other fabricated structures.
5. Handle Mild Steel (M.S.) and Stainless Steel (S.S.) materials during fabrication and assembly.
6. Check dimensions, alignment, squareness, levels, and fit-up of components using measuring instruments.
7. Coordinate with welders, fabricators, machine operators, and production supervisors to complete jobs as per drawings.
8. Assist in the fabrication and assembly of painting booths, coating systems, and related industrial equipment.
9. Identify dimensional mismatches, fitting issues, and material defects and report them to the supervisor.
10. Follow safety procedures while handling heavy materials, power tools, lifting equipment, and fabrication machinery.
11. Maintain proper housekeeping, material utilization, and discipline at the workplace.
12. Ensure that all work is completed as per production schedules and prescribed quality requirements.

- Experience in sheet metal fabrication and heavy structural fabrication.
- Working knowledge of M.S. and S.S. materials.
- Experience in tank fabrication, fitting, and assembly.
- Ability to read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as measuring tape, Vernier caliper, try square, spirit level, and other fitting tools.
- Familiarity with drilling, grinding, cutting, and deburring operations.
- Knowledge of basic fabrication tolerances, alignment, and fit-up requirements.
- 4. Preferred SkillsBasic knowledge of AutoCAD drawings.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks drawings and 3D models.
- Experience in industrial equipment manufacturing, heavy fabrication, or project-based manufacturing.
- Knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication terminology.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with the production team.
- 5. Educational Qualification and ExperienceITI in Fitter trade from a recognized institute.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or fabrication industry.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in sheet metal, heavy structures, tanks, M.S., and S.S. fabrication will be preferred.
- Freshers with solid practical fitting skills may be considered based on company requirements.
