: Windchill PLM Presales Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Windchill PLM Presales Consultant with strong knowledge of PTC Windchill, PLM processes, engineering workflows, and customer-facing solution consulting. The candidate must independently handle requirement gathering, solution mapping, presentations, demonstrations, technical discussions, proposal preparation, and presales activities through technical closure.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct customer meetings, discovery sessions, workshops, and requirement-gathering discussions.
- Understand engineering, product development, manufacturing, quality, and PLM business processes.
- Map customer requirements to suitable Windchill modules, technical capabilities, and functional solutions.
- Prepare and present customer-specific PLM solutions, product demonstrations, solution architecture, process flows, integration architecture, and implementation roadmaps.
- Explain Windchill capabilities, architecture, business benefits, and implementation approaches to technical teams, business users, management, and decision-makers.
- Independently manage customer discussions, technical clarifications, presentations, and solution positioning.
- Support the sales team throughout the presales lifecycle, from initial discussions to technical closure.
- Coordinate with functional and technical consultants, developers, solution architects, and project teams.
- Support solution scoping, effort estimation, assumptions, dependencies, implementation approaches, and technical proposal preparation.
- Prepare professional presentations, Scope of Work (SOW) documents, architecture diagrams, and other customer-facing technical documentation.
- Evaluate RFPs/RFQs and prepare technical, compliance, and solution responses.
- Stay updated on Windchill modules, PLM technologies, industry developments, and emerging trends.

Required Windchill Knowledge:

Good functional and solution-level understanding of:

- Windchill PDMLink, MPMLink, ProjectLink, Quality Management, and PartsLink/Classification.




- Windchill Workgroup Manager and Creo View/Windchill Visualization.
- Integration with CAD, ERP/SAP, MES, and other enterprise applications.
- Module selection and solution mapping based on customer requirements.

PLM Domain Knowledge:

- Solid understanding of PLM concepts, product development lifecycle, engineering product data management, and enterprise engineering environments.
- Knowledge of EBOM, MBOM, configuration management, engineering change management, CAD data management, and engineering/manufacturing collaboration.
- Understanding of PLM integration with CAD, ERP/SAP, MES, and enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of digital thread and engineering-to-manufacturing processes is preferred.

Required Skills:

- Strong functional knowledge of PTC Windchill PLM, its modules, and engineering/manufacturing processes.
- Experience in customer requirement gathering, business process analysis, solution consulting, and presales.
- Excellent customer handling, communication, presentation, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to independently conduct customer workshops, demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution discussions.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language and map requirements to appropriate modules and solution architecture.
- Proficiency in preparing technical proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, SOW documents, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and customer-specific presentations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred Experience:

- 4–10 years of experience in PLM, Windchill consulting, or engineering IT solutions.
- 2–3 years of Windchill functional consulting, solution consulting, or presales experience preferred.
- Candidates with Windchill implementation experience and strong customer-facing capabilities will also be considered.
- Experience delivering PLM presentations, demonstrations, and technical proposals.
- Industry experience in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, industrial equipment, heavy engineering, or similar engineering sectors is an added advantage.
