2. Key Responsibilities

A. Testing & Commissioning

- Execute testing and commissioning activities for data center infrastructure systems in accordance with approved method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and commissioning procedures.
- Perform equipment inspections, pre-commissioning checks, functional testing, and performance verification.
- Coordinate Level 1 to Level 5 commissioning activities, as applicable to the project commissioning strategy.
- Conduct integrated systems testing (IST) to verify the interaction of critical systems under normal, abnormal, and failure conditions.
- Verify system performance, redundancy, failover sequences, alarms, interlocks, and emergency operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with approved design documents, technical specifications, manufacturer recommendations, and relevant codes and standards.

B. Electrical Systems

- Supervise testing and commissioning of:
- HT/LT switchgear, transformers, and electrical distribution panels.
- Diesel generators and associated control systems.
- UPS systems, battery banks, and static transfer switches (STS).
- Power distribution units (PDUs), remote power panels (RPPs), and busduct systems.
- Earthing, bonding, and lightning protection systems.
- Automatic transfer switches (ATS), protection relays, and electrical metering.
- Coordinate insulation resistance, continuity, contact resistance, primary/secondary injection, protection relay, and functional tests, as applicable.
- Verify generator synchronization, load sharing, transfer sequences, and operation under simulated load conditions.
- Coordinate UPS autonomy tests and load-bank testing of generators and other equipment where specified.

C. Mechanical Systems

- Coordinate testing and commissioning of:
- Chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and heat exchangers.

- CRAH/CRAC units and precision cooling systems.
- Chilled-water piping, valves, and associated control systems.
- Computer room air handling and liquid-cooling systems, where applicable.
- Verify water flow, pressure, temperature, equipment performance, and control sequences.
- Coordinate flushing, chemical cleaning, water balancing, and testing of chilled-water systems.
- Verify cooling redundancy, standby equipment operation, and cooling performance under different operating conditions.

D. Fire Protection, ELV and BMS

- Coordinate testing of fire detection and alarm systems, clean-agent suppression systems, and associated interfaces.
- Verify BMS, EPMS, SCADA, and DCIM interfaces, where applicable.
- Test alarms, monitoring points, control logic, interlocks, and communication between integrated systems.
- Coordinate testing of access control, CCTV, and other relevant ELV systems.
- Participate in cause-and-effect testing and integrated systems testing.

E. Documentation and Reporting

- Prepare and review commissioning plans, method statements, checklists, test reports, and commissioning procedures.
- Maintain equipment test records, punch lists, snag lists, and non-conformance reports.
- Review and validate OEM test certificates and commissioning documentation.
- Track testing progress, identify technical issues, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports and maintain commissioning records.
- Support preparation of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and final handover dossiers.

F. Coordination and Safety

- Coordinate with the client, consultant, main contractor, MEP contractors, OEMs, and commissioning authority.
- Attend commissioning meetings, resolve site technical issues, and monitor closure of outstanding observations.
- Ensure compliance with permit-to-work systems, lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical safety procedures, and site HSE requirements.
