Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Oracle EPM Consultant with 6+ years of overall experience and strong hands-on expertise across Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM), Oracle EPM Planning, Data Integration, and Python.

The ideal candidate should have experience designing, configuring, integrating, and supporting enterprise-scale Oracle EPM solutions. This role requires strong technical and functional understanding of EPM processes, with particular emphasis on metadata management, planning applications, integration frameworks, automation, and Python-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM)

- Design, configure, and support Oracle Enterprise Data Management Cloud solutions.
- Build and maintain applications, dimensions, viewpoints, node types, hierarchy sets, node sets, properties, and validations.
- Configure and manage requests, subscriptions, approvals, workflows, and governance processes.
- Manage enterprise metadata and hierarchy changes across connected EPM and ERP applications.
- Support metadata synchronization, mapping, data governance, and master data management requirements.

Oracle EPM Planning

- Design, configure, enhance, and support Oracle EPM Planning applications.
- Work with dimensions, metadata, forms, dashboards, business rules, calculations, security, and application configurations.
- Support planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Develop and troubleshoot calculation logic and planning processes.
- Work closely with Finance and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable EPM solutions.

Data Integration

- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EPM Data Integration capabilities.
- Configure source and target systems, import formats, mappings, locations,



integration definitions, and data-load processes.
- Build and maintain integrations between Oracle EPM applications and upstream/downstream systems.
- Troubleshoot data load, mapping, reconciliation, and integration issues.
- Automate recurring metadata and data-integration activities where appropriate.

Python & Automation

- Strong programming/scripting knowledge in Python.
- Develop Python scripts and utilities to automate EPM-related activities, data transformations, validations, file processing, and integration workflows.
- Work with REST APIs, JSON, CSV, and other structured data formats to integrate and automate EPM processes.
- Create reliable error handling, logging, validation, and monitoring mechanisms for automated processes.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through automation and reusable utilities.

Required Skills & Experience

- 6+ years of relevant experience in Oracle EPM implementations, enhancements, integrations, and/or production support.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM).
- Strong experience with Oracle EPM Planning.
- Strong experience with Oracle EPM Data Integration.
- Solid hands-on programming experience with Python.
- Experience working with REST APIs and EPM automation/integration mechanisms.
- Good understanding of metadata management, dimensional structures, hierarchies, data mappings, and data governance.
- Experience troubleshooting complex EPM application and integration issues.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial processes.
- Ability to independently understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
