Company Description PhysicsWallah (PW) is an education company founded in 2020 by Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari, headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. PW focuses on democratizing access to quality education through online, offline, and hybrid learning platforms. Evolving from a YouTube channel launched in 2014, PW now reaches learners across India in multiple vernacular languages.

The organization is building a tech-enabled hybrid ecosystem with centers in cities nationwide and offers programs in test preparation, skills training, higher education, and study abroad. PW also runs an Institute of Innovation (IOI) offering residential job-ready programs and is backed by prominent investors such as Hornbill Capital, Lightspeed Ventures, Westbridge, and GSV Ventures.

Role Description This is a full-time, in office Teaching Faculty role based in Midnapore.

The Teaching

Faculty member will deliver engaging classroom instruction aligned with PW’s curriculum, focusing on concept clarity, problem-solving, and exam readiness for relevant subjects and levels.

Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, creating learning materials, designing assessments, and evaluating student performance regularly. The role involves mentoring learners, addressing doubts during and after class, and using technology-enabled tools and PW’s platforms to enhance teaching and track progress. The faculty member will collaborate with academic teams to update content, participate in workshops,



and contribute to continuous improvement of teaching methodologies and student outcomes.

Qualifications

- Robust subject-matter expertise in the relevant discipline (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or related fields), with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated classroom teaching or coaching experience in school, college, or test-preparation environments, preferably with large or diverse batches.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, including the ability to engage learners with varying proficiency levels in a structured and inclusive manner.
- Familiarity with exam patterns and curriculum for competitive exams or board examinations, and experience in designing practice questions and assessments.
- Comfort working with digital tools and learning platforms, including basic proficiency in using online content, presentations, and student performance tracking systems.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant academic field (e.g., Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Education); higher qualifications or teaching certifications are an advantage.
- Strong mentoring mindset, patience, and commitment to student success, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and individualized guidance.
- Willingness to work on-site in Midnapore, participate in academic planning meetings, and adapt to PW’s hybrid and tech-enabled teaching ecosystem.
