We are seeking an experienced Senior Individual Tax Preparer to prepare and review moderately complex U.S. federal and state individual tax returns (Form 1040). The candidate should have strong technical tax knowledge, experience handling investment-related and multi-state returns, and the ability to review junior preparers’ work under the guidance of a Tax Manager or CPA.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review Form 1040 federal and state tax returns.
- Handle Schedule C, Schedule E, Schedule D, Form 8949, and Schedule K-1 reporting.
- Analyze source documents, prior-year returns, brokerage statements, rental income, and self-employment records.
- Identify missing information, discrepancies, duplicate deductions, and potential tax issues.
- Review junior preparers’ workpapers and resolve reviewer comments.
- Support tax extensions, estimated payments, amended returns, and multi-state filings.




- Maintain accurate documentation and meet deadlines while following confidentiality and quality-control procedures.

Required Qualifications:

- 4–7 years of hands-on U.S. individual tax-preparation experience.
- Solid knowledge of Form 1040, federal and state taxation, and multi-state filings.
- Proficiency in professional tax preparation software.
- Experience with K-1s, investment income, rental properties, and self-employment taxation.
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and excellent English communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with high-net-worth individuals, complex investment returns, and reviewing junior preparers’ work.
- Prior experience in a U.S. CPA firm or tax outsourcing environment.
- Familiarity with tax research tools, extensions, and amended returns.
