Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Solar Design Engineer with strong expertise in utility-scale solar PV system designing. The candidate should have hands-on experience in ground-mounted solar projects, including technical layouts, electrical designing, energy yield analysis and construction-ready drawings.

Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must have successfully worked on at least one ground-mounted utility-scale solar project of 50 MW or above at a single site.

Key Responsibilities

- Solar PV System Designing
- Prepare solar module layouts, string configurations and plant layouts.
- Perform site assessment and feasibility studies.
- Optimize solar plant designs for maximum generation and efficiency.
- Conduct energy yield simulations and shading analysis.
- Electrical Designing
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and electrical drawings.
- Perform DC/AC cable sizing and voltage drop calculations.
- Design earthing and lightning protection systems.
- Prepare electrical layouts and grid connectivity designs.
- Software & Technical Documentation
- Prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Perform energy generation analysis using PVsyst.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical specifications.




- Maintain design documentation and drawing revisions.
- Project Coordination
- Coordinate with project execution, procurement and engineering teams.
- Provide technical support during project execution.
- Resolve design-related issues at project sites.
- Support testing, commissioning and project handover.

Required Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- 5–8 years of relevant solar PV design experience.
- Robust experience in ground-mounted utility-scale solar projects.
- Minimum one 50 MW+ project experience at a single site.

Required Software Skills

- PVsyst
- AutoCAD
- Helioscope
- SketchUp
- Advanced MS Excel

Required Technical Skills

- Solar PV system design and engineering.
- Module and inverter selection.
- String sizing and electrical calculations.
- DC/AC cable sizing.
- Earthing and lightning protection.
- Solar plant layout and SLD preparation.
- Knowledge of IEC, IS, BIS and CEA standards.
