We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Junior Software Engineer (Java) to join our fully remote engineering team. This is a fresher-friendly role designed for recent graduates or early-career developers who are eager to kickstart their qualified journey from the comfort of their homes. You will receive structured remote mentorship from senior engineers, collaborate via modern digital workspaces, and write code that powers our core backend applications.

Responsibilities

- Feature Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Java code to implement new features and enhance existing modules.
- Remote Collaboration: Participate actively in virtual agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups via Zoom/Teams, Slack updates, and digital sprint planning).
- Testing & Quality: Write unit tests using frameworks like JUnit to ensure code reliability.
- Bug Fixing: Troubleshoot and resolve software defects identified in development or staging environments.
- Documentation:



Maintain clear documentation for application design and APIs to ensure seamless team collaboration in an asynchronous environment.

Required Skills

- Core Java: Solid understanding of Java fundamentals, including Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, Collections, and Exception Handling.
- Frameworks: Academic or internship exposure to Spring Boot or Spring MVC.
- Databases: Basic knowledge of writing standard SQL queries (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Version Control: Foundational proficiency with Git and GitHub/GitLab.

Competencies

- Experience: 0 to 1 year (Freshers with strong personal projects or internship experience are highly encouraged to apply).
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as this is vital for a remote setup.
