What you'll own

- Complex initiatives, end to end. The technical outcome, risks, dependencies and delivery of initiatives that cross system and team boundaries.
- Technical direction. You write and review specs and designs, challenge assumptions, and catch architectural, scalability, reliability, security and operational risks early. You take major designs to our Architecture Review Board (ARB).
- Clarity for others. You break large initiatives into outcomes that can be delivered on their own, so several engineers and coding agents can execute in parallel without waiting on you.
- AI in the product. You design and ship AI-powered capabilities, such as LLM integration, agents and tool calling, retrieval and evaluation, held to the same bar as any production system: latency, cost, safety and tenant isolation.
- Production quality. You use production and customer issues to find systemic weaknesses, and fix them so whole classes of problems don't come back.
- A stronger team. You mentor several engineers, share reusable specs, patterns and tooling, and help hire across Engineering.
- Customer and product impact. You work with Product, customers and customer-facing teams, and help shape the roadmap with a clear technical point of view.

How you'll build

- Spec first. Every meaningful change starts with a written spec: the problem, expected outcome, constraints and acceptance criteria.
- Delegate real work to agents. You hand substantial implementation to coding agents and give them what they need to succeed: repository context, instruction files, and tests written before delegation.
- Review like it matters. Agent output isn't correct because it compiles or passes its own tests. You catch the race condition, the missing index, the cache that never invalidates and the weak assumption before they reach production.
- Own what you merge. Whether you or an agent wrote it, you can explain, debug and change it without leaning on the agent.
- One discipline. Frontend, backend, data, testing, deployment and monitoring are all part of solving the problem. Technology is a tool, not a boundary.
- Safe use of AI. Approved tools only, with security, privacy, data and licensing requirements intact.

Must-Have Skills:





- 8–13 years building software in product companies. What you've owned matters more to us than the number.
- Strong engineering judgment in system design and distributed systems, including performance, scalability, fault tolerance and high availability.
- Full-stack depth. Our services are mostly Java and Spring Boot, our frontends TypeScript and React, backed by SQL and NoSQL stores and distributed caching such as Redis, on Docker, Kubernetes and cloud-native CI/CD. You're deep in at least one part of this and effective across all of it.
- Real experience with coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot on meaningful work. You've delegated substantial work, seen where agents go wrong, and changed how you scope and verify as a result.
- Hands-on experience building AI features: LLM APIs, prompt and context design, retrieval, agents and tool use, and evaluation. You understand the cost, latency and failure modes of probabilistic systems.
- A track record of leading technical initiatives across teams and mentoring engineers.
- Customer-first thinking, and clear written communication. Your specs and design docs are easy for people and agents to act on.
- Good to have: multi-tenant B2B SaaS experience, or frontend work embedded inside other applications, such as browser extensions or in-app overlays.

Nice-to-Have:

- Exposure to mobile product ecosystems and architecture considerations.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like JavaScript/React JS
- Prior experience in SaaS, B2B, or large-scale platform development.
