Position Overview

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer 2 (Backend) with 2–3 years of experience to join our growing engineering team.This is an opportunity to design and build cutting-edge systems where specialized AI agents support healthcare providers and care coordination workflows.You will work on backend systems, APIs, generative AI applications, and AI-driven workflows while taking meaningful ownership of scalable solutions designed to solve complex problems in healthcare.We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving abilities, solid backend engineering fundamentals, and valuable communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that power AI agents and healthcare applications.




- Build and support AI-driven workflows and generative AI applications.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Implement robust security and data-protection practices.
- Debug and resolve application and production issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high engineering standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design and deliver scalable technical solutions.

Desired Experience

- 2–3 years of professional backend development experience.
- Experience building AI-based or generative AI applications is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Java.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Familiarity with caching technologies such as Redis or Memcached.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS, including services such as EC2, Lambda, and SQS.
- Understanding of microservices architecture.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
