Role Description The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will lead the design and development of mechanical systems and equipment for welding and heavy material handling applications. This full-time role is based on-site in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area and involves working closely with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into detailed design concepts and manufacturable solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing CAD models and engineering drawings, performing design calculations, selecting components, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and quality standards, along with being cost effective.

The engineer will coordinate with production, suppliers, and service teams to support prototyping,



testing, installation, and continuous improvement of products. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers, contributing to design best practices, and supporting project planning and documentation.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design skills.
- Candidates should possess Design Engineering and Product Design skills for industrial equipment and bespoke solutions.
- Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor, or similar) for 3D modeling and detailed drafting.
- Relevant experience in welding fixtures, jigs, automation systems, or heavy material handling equipment is highly beneficial.
- Ability to perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and basic structural checks, and to apply relevant industry standards.
- Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with shop floor teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, with several years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
