About the role

As a Senior Full Stack Developer at Hash Connect, you will design, build and run the applications behind our clients' consumer engagement programmes: CRM, web and mobile applications, real-time data and API integrations, and the platforms that power consumer promotions, offer redemption, claims and payments. You will own features end to end, from Spring Boot services to Angular front ends, working closely with product, design and QA, and using AI-assisted development as an everyday part of how we ship.

This role is designed for engineers with 6–7 years of hands-on experience who want to write code every day. We are not hiring at architect, lead or engineering-manager level for this opening.

What you will do

- Design, develop, test and deploy web applications using Java, Spring Boot and Angular
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services in Spring Boot
- Build responsive, high-performance user interfaces in Angular (and Next.js where relevant)
- Design and optimise MySQL and PostgreSQL databases
- Work with product managers, UI/UX designers and QA engineers to define and ship features
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and take part in code reviews
- Troubleshoot, debug and tune application performance
- Work with Git and Agile/Scrum practices
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge across the team

AI-assisted engineering

- Use AI coding tools (Claude Code preferred; GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar) for code generation, refactoring, documentation, unit tests and debugging
- Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, performance and security before it reaches production
- Build effective prompts and workflows that improve team productivity




- Help the team adopt AI tools responsibly and effectively

What we are looking for

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- 6–7 years of skilled experience in full stack development
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience with Angular; Next.js is a plus
- Good command of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Strong knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Hands-on use of AI coding assistants in day-to-day development
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and clear communication

Good to have

- Java or cloud certifications
- Message brokers and event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Microservices and security best practices
- DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito
- Building applications on LLMs and AI APIs; exposure to Spring AI, Model Context Protocol (MCP) or RAG
