Senior Backend Engineer – Golang

Experience Required: 5+ Years

Location: Bengaluru, Hyderabad

We are looking for a skilled Senior Backend Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Golang to design, develop, and scale distributed, high-throughput backend systems.

The ideal candidate should have solid experience in Go microservices, event-driven architecture, Kafka, payment integrations, database optimization, and production-grade backend engineering.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Go microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Build event-driven systems using Kafka, including Outbox patterns, retries, and idempotency.
- Design and integrate webhooks with reliable delivery mechanisms.
- Integrate third-party payment gateways, handling transaction flows, reconciliation, refunds, and failure scenarios.
- Develop concurrent applications using Goroutines, Channels, Context, and graceful shutdown mechanisms.
- Design efficient data models and optimize SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Implement caching strategies using Redis.
- Work with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms.
- Write unit and integration tests, conduct code reviews, and maintain code quality.
- Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and drive root-cause analysis.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable backend solutions.

Required Skills

- 5+ years of backend development experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Golang.
- Advanced Go concepts: Goroutines, Channels, Sync primitives, Worker Pools, Context, and Graceful Shutdown.
- Strong experience in Microservices and Distributed Systems.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar message brokers.
- Experience with REST APIs, Webhooks, and Payment Gateway Integrations.
- Strong SQL knowledge (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
- Experience with Redis and caching strategies.
- Working knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, and AWS/GCP.
- Understanding of JWT, OAuth, and Role-Based Access Control.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana, New Relic, and CloudWatch.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and ownership skills.

- Go Monorepos and Bazel.
- API Gateways such as KrakenD.
- Fintech, Payments, or E-commerce domain experience.
- OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
- Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design.
- Experience with high-volume, high-concurrency systems.
