Role Description The Professor of Finance role is a full-time, in office position based at Amity University in the Greater Kolkata Area. The role involves designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate finance courses, including lectures, seminars, workshops, and case-based learning. The professor will guide students in projects and dissertations, supervise research scholars, and contribute to curriculum development aligned with current industry practices and academic standards.





Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting high-quality research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, participating in academic conferences, mentoring learners, and supporting departmental initiatives. The role also includes collaboration with industry partners, contributing to institutional committees, and engaging in community and outreach activities that strengthen the university’s academic reputation.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Finance and Corporate Finance to design and deliver advanced finance curricula.
- Applied knowledge of Accounting and Economics to integrate interdisciplinary perspectives into teaching and research.
- Demonstrated Research capabilities, including scholarly publications and ongoing projects in relevant finance domains.
- Doctoral degree (PhD) in Finance, Management, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Prior teaching experience at the university level, preferably in postgraduate and doctoral programs.
- Evidence of curriculum development, academic leadership, and participation in academic or professional bodies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills, with the ability to engage and support a diverse student body.
- Experience in industry collaboration, consulting, or executive education in finance-related areas is an advantage.
