Position Overview:

In this role, you will serve as the senior-most builder on the team and a strategic technical partner to the Business Unit Lead. You will set the technical direction across multiple platforms and client engagements, define the standards everyone builds against, and remain hands-on with complex engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities

· Technical Direction & Architecture: Set technical vision across multiple platforms and engagements, establishing contemporary architecture, engineering standards, and reusable design patterns.

· Strategic Technology Decisions: Own org-level decisions, including build vs. buy evaluations, framework selection, developing shared internal capabilities, and setting production readiness criteria.

· Hands-on Prototyping & Execution: Write critical components, prototype high-risk ideas, and validate technical approaches with production-ready code and empirical performance metrics.

· Empirical Technical Investigations: Lead failure-mode studies, reproducibility analyses, and cost/quality trade-off evaluations to establish defensible, client-facing points of view.

· Enterprise Platform & Cloud Ownership:

· Architect multi-cloud environments across AWS and Azure.

· Lead data platform design on Azure Databricks (medallion architecture, Unity Catalog governance, pipeline scalability, Infrastructure as Code via Terraform, and MLflow for model lifecycle management).

· Design data models across warehouse, streaming, and operational stores.

· Define standards for evaluation, observability, security, and compliance in regulated contexts.





· Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Elevate the engineering bar, mentor Senior SDEs and SDEs, write foundational specs/documentation, and represent technical strategy to C-suite stakeholders and enterprise clients.

· Key Qualifications & Technical Skills

· Python & Systems Design: Mastery of Python and deep systems design experience, with a proven track record of architecting scalable, enterprise-grade production systems.

· Cloud & Data Architecture: Extensive expertise across AWS and Azure, multi-store data design, distributed systems, real-time streaming, cloud security, and cost optimization.

· Azure Databricks Expertise: Production experience with Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, cluster policy design, job orchestration, and Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning.

· Domain Knowledge (Supply Chain & Logistics): Deep understanding of supply chain and inventory operations—including demand planning processes, MRP logic, and inventory parameters—with the ability to engage credibly with domain stakeholders.

· LLM & Agentic AI Systems: Proven experience building custom LLM and agentic systems from first principles, accompanied by rigorous evaluation methodologies (reproducibility, calibration, cost).

· Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, articulate complex technical trade-offs, and translate technical initiatives into business strategy.

· Industry Context: Experience delivering technical solutions within pharma or heavily regulated industries is highly valued.

· Certifications: Professional-level Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/Databricks) are preferred.
