Role Overview

Lead the architecture for FLX ONE Cargo, defining scalable, cloud-native solutions, modernization strategies, and integration standards. Drive modular adoption and seamless migration from legacy Cargo platforms while ensuring alignment with FLX ONE and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end Cargo architecture across booking, offer management, execution, and integrations.
- Define architecture standards, engineering patterns, and reference solutions.
- Lead legacy modernization, phased migrations, coexistence models, and cutover strategies.
- Ensure alignment with FLX ONE Retail, shared platform services, and external ecosystems.
- Drive architectural governance, scalability, security, reliability, and observability.
- Mentor engineering teams and partner with product, engineering, and customer stakeholders.

Required Experience

- 18+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Proven ownership/design of at least one enterprise-scale platform or system.
- 12+ years of .NET development experience.
- 8+ years of .NET Core experience.
- 5+ years of C++ development experience.
- 10+ years of AWS or other major cloud platform experience (AWS preferred).
- 10+ years of RDBMS experience (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.).
- 5+ years of React or modern JavaScript framework experience.




- 2+ years of AIDLC experience (mandatory).
- 2+ years using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar.
- Proven experience modernizing legacy/monolithic systems through incremental migration approaches.
- Mandatory experience in Airline Cargo domain, with strong understanding of Cargo operations, workflows, and integrations.
- Familiarity with IATA ONE Record and modern Cargo industry standards preferred.

- Solid system design, architecture, and stakeholder management skills

Mandatory Domain Experience

- Airline Cargo industry experience
- Cargo booking, shipment execution, tracking, and operational workflows
- Enterprise integrations within airline or cargo ecosystems
- Understanding of Cargo modernization and migration challenges

Nice to Have

- Experience with IATA ONE Record and airline retailing concepts.
- Experience building large-scale SaaS or enterprise platforms.
