Role Description The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications accurately based on valid prescriptions and ensuring compliance with relevant pharmacy regulations and hospital policies. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing prescriptions for appropriateness, checking drug interactions, maintaining proper storage and inventory of medicines, and labeling and packaging medications for patients. The role involves counseling patients and caregivers on correct medication usage, possible side effects, dosages, and adherence to treatment plans.

The Pharmacist will collaborate with physicians, nurses,



and other healthcare workers to support safe medication management and participate in routine audits and documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Madurai.

Qualifications

- Relevant pharmacy qualification (B.Pharm, D.Pharm, or equivalent) and current registration or eligibility to register with the appropriate Pharmacy Council.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug indications, contraindications, dosage calculations, and potential drug interactions.
- Proficiency in prescription review, medication dispensing, stock management, and maintenance of pharmacy records.
- Ability to provide clear medication counseling, with strong communication skills in English and local languages as needed.
- Familiarity with hospital workflows, basic clinical documentation, and adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to ethical practice and patient-centered care.
- Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is an advantage; willingness to work in shifts as required.
