About Us

Radix Micro Technologies designs electronics for defence. We take boards from block diagrams and schematics through layout, assembly, programming and qualification. Our boards include FPGA/SoC-based, high-speed digital and mixed-signal designs for mission-critical systems.

What You’ll Do

- Run the full PCB design cycle: layout, design checks, manufacturing release, and revisions after bring-up. Layouts include working on Analog, Digital and High Speed Circuits.
- Review schematics with the hardware, FPGA and mechanical teams before layout starts, and give early feedback on placement, power distribution, connector locations and whether the board can be routed
- Own component placement: plan the floorplan, group circuits by function, put decoupling capacitors close to their loads, and place parts for thermal performance and around mechanical limits on dense boards
- Design multilayer boards (6–12 layers): define the stack-up, plane and signal layers and controlled impedance, taking SI, PI,



EMI/EMC and manufacturability into account
- Lay out boards with mixed assembly technologies: SMT, through-hole, BGAs and fine-pitch parts, with components on both sides
- Build and maintain IPC-7351 footprints and the component library
- Produce the release package: Gerber/ODB++ files, drill data, and pick-and-place files
- Set up Constraint Manager rules and route high-speed interfaces (DDR, Gigabit Ethernet, FPGA I/O) and sensitive analog sections

What We’re Looking For

- 4–5 years of hands-on PCB design experience with Cadence Allegro (required)
- Strong component placement skills on complex multilayer boards
- Experience defining 6–12 layer stack-ups with controlled impedance
- Working knowledge of IPC-7351 footprint standards
- Has taken part in schematic and design reviews with other teams
- Good understanding of SI, PI, EMI/EMC and DFM in layout
- Ownership of a design from layout to production
- Someone who can join immediately.

Good to Have

- Experience with defence or aerospace boards (rugged, high-reliability design)
- RF, rigid-flex layout experience
- Allegro SKILL scripting
