?‍? Department: Patient Care / Hospital Operations

? Qualification: Graduate in any discipline

? Experience: 2–3 years in hospital patient counselling

? Job Responsibilities:

✅ Counsel patients and attendants regarding treatments, surgeries, admissions, and discharge procedures.

✅ Explain surgical procedures, investigations, documentation, and consent formalities.

✅ Provide financial counselling regarding treatment costs, billing, and package inclusions.

✅ Guide patients on Ayushman Bharat, CGHS, ECHS, and insurance perks.

✅ Coordinate with TPA, billing, nursing, consultants, OT, and MRD teams.

✅ Follow up on insurance pre-authorisations, approvals, and claim documentation.

✅ Maintain accurate counselling records and ensure compliance with hospital policies.

✅ Develop knowledge of ophthalmic procedures, including cataract, retina, glaucoma, cornea, paediatric ophthalmology, and oculoplasty.





? Skills Required:

✔️ Excellent communication and counselling skills.

✔️ Strong patient-handling and coordination abilities.

✔️ Knowledge of hospital operations and surgical workflows.

✔️ Good documentation, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.

? Preferred Experience:

✔️ Knowledge of TPA, insurance, billing, and government healthcare schemes.

✔️ Experience in an ophthalmology hospital will be an added advantage.
