Role: Multimedia Designer
Location: Ahmedabad, In-house, Full-time
Experience Required: 3 to 5 years
About Us:
Not Rocket Science is a D2C functional beverage brand making protein water and protein shakes, available across our website, Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, and more.
We are growing fast and looking for a Multimedia Designer who can bring NRS to life across design, video, motion, photography, and digital content.
This is a hands-on creative role. You should be equally comfortable designing a social post, shooting a product Reel, editing a campaign video, creating motion graphics, adapting an asset for Amazon, or experimenting with AI to bring a new visual idea to life.
You will work closely with the brand and marketing teams and collaborate with external creative and design partners to create a consistent, distinctive NRS visual language across every platform.
What you'll do:
Design
- Create social media creatives, digital ads, website assets, marketplace creatives, campaign assets, email creatives, and other brand collateral.
- Turn creative briefs and ideas into robust visual concepts, moodboards, layouts, and finished designs.
- Develop creatives for Instagram, Meta, YouTube, website, Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Zepto, Instamart, and other digital platforms.
- Adapt and resize assets across multiple formats while maintaining visual consistency and quality.
- Build and maintain templates and design systems that make creative production faster and more scalable.
- Maintain consistency across typography, colour, composition, imagery, packaging, and overall NRS brand language.
Video & Motion
- Shoot and edit Reels, product videos, ads, lifestyle content, BTS content, campaign films, and short-form social content.
- Own the video process end to end, from concept and shot planning to shooting, editing, sound, colour, captions, motion, and final delivery.
- Create motion graphics and animated adaptations of static designs.
- Develop strong hooks, pacing, transitions, visual storytelling, and platform-native edits.
- Adapt video content into different aspect ratios and specifications for social, paid media, websites, and marketplaces.
Basic Photography & Production
- Shoot product, lifestyle, and social-first content using a phone, mirrorless camera, or basic production setup.
- Plan shoots through moodboards, references, shot lists, and simple storyboards.
- Set up basic lighting, backgrounds, props, and product compositions.
- Be comfortable working with available resources and finding creative ways to produce high-quality content without requiring a large production setup.
Creative Direction & Collaboration
- Work closely with the brand and marketing teams to turn briefs into compelling creative.
- Collaborate with external designers, agencies, photographers, videographers, and other creative partners.
- Give transparent creative direction and constructive feedback to ensure work stays on-brand.
- Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously and take ownership from brief to concept to production to execution to final delivery.
- Keep the brand visually fresh by actively exploring new formats, references, trends, and creative techniques.
AI & Emerging Creative tools:
- Use AI tools as part of the creative workflow for ideation, image generation, visual exploration, editing, storyboarding, and content creation.
- Experiment with tools such as Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Runway, ChatGPT, Kling, Flux, and other emerging creative AI tools.
- Combine AI-generated assets with traditional design, photography, and video rather than relying on AI output alone.
- Stay curious about emerging creative technology and identify tools that can improve the speed and quality of content production.
Creative Operations:
- Maintain an organised library of brand assets, source files, raw footage, templates, project files, and final creatives.
- Ensure every asset meets the required dimensions, file formats, resolutions, and specifications for its platform.
- Manage multiple versions and adaptations of creatives efficiently.
- Manage timelines and proactively flag bottlenecks or anything that is not meeting the brief or brand standards.
What we're looking for
- 3 to 5 years of experience in multimedia design, graphic design, video editing, visual design, content creation, or a similar creative role.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a combination of graphic design, video editing, motion, and content creation.
- Experience with D2C, FMCG, F&B;, consumer, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, or digital-first brands is a strong plus.
- Strong fundamentals in composition, typography, colour, layout, hierarchy, visual storytelling, and brand design.
- Someone who can move seamlessly between Photoshop, Premiere, Figma, camera, and AI tools depending on what the brief requires.
- Strong understanding of social-first creative and short-form video.
- Comfortable shooting content independently with a phone or basic camera setup.
- Strong attention to detail and a high bar for visual quality.
- Ability to work fast, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to take ownership rather than waiting for detailed instructions.
- Naturally curious and constantly looking at brands, culture, design, internet trends, and new creative formats for inspiration.
Who we're looking for:
You do not have to fit neatly into the box of “designer” or “video editor.”
You are someone who can see an idea, figure out the best medium to express it, and make it happen.
You might design a carousel in the morning, shoot a product Reel in the afternoon, edit a paid ad in the evening, and use Midjourney to explore a visual direction for tomorrow’s campaign.
If you are excited by that kind of variety, we’d love to meet you.
