We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Design Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in MEP design for retail stores, commercial offices, and interior fit-out projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, the ability to develop coordinated design drawings and BOQs, and the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting client-specific requirements and project delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop MEP design layouts, detailed drawings, and Good for Construction (GFC) drawings for retail stores, commercial offices, and interior fit-out projects.
- Prepare and coordinate HVAC, electrical, lighting, power, fire protection, fire alarm, plumbing, and drainage layouts as applicable to the project scope.
- Prepare detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, technical specifications, and other project documentation.
- Coordinate MEP designs with architectural, interior design, structural, and other relevant consultants to resolve design clashes and site constraints.
- Review existing site conditions, client inputs, design concepts, and project requirements before developing MEP solutions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring proper prioritisation of tasks and timely completion of deliverables.
- Adhere strictly to client-approved schedules, submission dates, and project milestones.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, and site teams to address technical queries and design changes.




- Incorporate client comments and revisions into drawings and documentation within agreed timelines.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, and project specifications.
- Provide technical support to execution teams and resolve design-related queries during project implementation.
- Maintain drawing registers, revision control, design documentation, and project status updates.
- Identify potential design conflicts, execution challenges, and coordination issues proactively.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a relevant engineering discipline.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in MEP design, preferably for retail outlets, commercial offices, and interior fit-out projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing detailed MEP layouts and GFC drawings.
- Working knowledge of HVAC design, electrical load calculations, lighting and power layouts, earthing, fire protection, fire alarm, plumbing, and drainage systems.
- Experience in BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, and technical documentation.
- Understanding of MEP coordination with architectural and interior design drawings.
- Ability to interpret client briefs, design concepts,



specifications, and site survey information.
- Strong planning, coordination, and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects independently and deliver quality outputs within tight deadlines.
- Valuable communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Working knowledge of applicable Indian standards, NBC provisions, and relevant local authority requirements.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Prior experience in retail store rollouts, commercial office fit-outs, and multi-location projects.
- Experience working in a fast-paced design consultancy or interior design and project execution environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to delivery schedules.
- Immediate joiners or candidates available to join within 30 days will be preferred.
- Candidates based in or willing to work in Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, or Thane are preferred.
