? We’re Hiring | Mechanical Design Engineer – Intern

? Location: IISc Campus, Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru, India

⏳ Duration: 9 months | Full-time, On-site

? Stipend: As per FSID/IISc norms

Are you passionate about mechanical design, prototyping, and engineering innovation? Here’s an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to real-world engineering projects!

? Key Responsibilities

- Develop CAD models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks, including GD&T;, sub-assembly design, and revision control.
- Support prototype development, including 3D printing, basic machining, test-fixture fabrication, and bench testing.
- Perform basic FEA and tolerance checks, and document test protocols and results for Design History File (DHF) inclusion.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), coordinate with vendors, track components, and support DfM/DfA reviews.
- Maintain an organized laboratory, including safety practices, inventory,



and equipment logs.

? Eligibility & Requirements

- Pre-final-year or final-year B.E./B.Tech./M.Tech. students in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics, or recent graduates.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, with familiarity with 3D printing and basic FEA.
- Strong understanding of mechanics of materials, fits, and tolerances.
- Positive written documentation skills, a strong sense of ownership, and a willingness to learn through hands-on experience.
