SpotLIGHT of the job

We are looking for an experienced Lighting Designer to join our team in India, based in Bangalore or Delhi.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and technically skilled lighting professional who enjoys transforming project requirements into effective, high-quality lighting solutions.

Working closely with our sales team, you will provide expert lighting design advice and project support from initial concept through to delivery. You will combine technical expertise, creativity and commercial awareness to understand project briefs, develop lighting solutions and produce the technical information required to bring projects to life.

Responsibilities

- Work closely with the sales team to provide expert lighting design advice and project support from concept through to delivery.
- Understand project specifications, technical requirements and commercial objectives to develop appropriate lighting solutions.
- Produce lighting designs, technical calculations, quantity schedules, CAD drawings, information packs and client presentations.
- Provide guidance on lighting standards, products, lighting technology and appropriate product placement.
- Collaborate effectively with customers, sales colleagues and other project stakeholders throughout the design process.
- Support the preparation and development of projects through the different stages of the sales and project lifecycle.




- Maintain a strong understanding of the overall project requirements, balancing design quality, technical performance and commercial considerations.
- Contribute to successful project outcomes and support the wider team in achieving sales objectives.

Skills & Experience

- 2–5 years' experience in lighting design.
- A technical education or qualification in electrical engineering, architecture or a related discipline, together with practical lighting-design experience.
- Strong knowledge of lighting terminology, technologies and industry product types.
- High-level lighting design capability using DIALux and/or Relux.
- Good understanding of technical drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
- Comfortable working within a dynamic, fast-paced project setting.
- A positive and solutions-focused approach with a genuine interest in technology and continuous development.
- Professional English communication skills.
