Role Description The Laundry Supervisor is a full time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing daily laundry operations and ensuring consistent service quality. This role includes supervising laundry staff, assigning tasks, monitoring workflow, and maintaining standards for washing, dry cleaning, pressing, and handling of garments and linens.

Supervisor ensures that equipment is used correctly, safety and hygiene procedures are followed, and turnaround times meet customer expectations.



The role also involves coordinating with front-of-house or customer service teams on special requests, resolving operational issues, and maintaining inventory of detergents, chemicals, and supplies. The ideal candidate will help uphold German Laundry’s quality standards while supporting a positive, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

- Strong supervisory skills with experience leading and training laundry or housekeeping teams.
- Hands-on knowledge of laundry services and laundry processes, including washing, dry cleaning, and garment care.
- Ability to manage linens and other textiles, ensuring proper handling, sorting, and storage.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with staff and customer-facing teams.
- Previous experience in commercial laundry, hospitality, or garment care operations preferred.
- Understanding of safety, hygiene, and quality control standards in laundry environments.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle high volumes and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or holidays, as business requires.
- Basic computer or point-of-sale system familiarity for tracking orders and reporting.
- Relevant vocational training or certification in laundry operations or hospitality is an advantage.
