About the Role

Sunfox Technologies, the company behind Spandan portable ECG devices, is looking for a hands-on IT & Network Security Engineer to manage our office infrastructure, strengthen security and provide technical support to employees.

You will own day-to-day network operations, endpoint protection and IT administration. You will also work with our technology leadership and compliance consultants to support the current ISMS certification and future initiatives around SOC 2 and DPDP compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Network administration: Configure, maintain and troubleshoot firewalls, managed switches, Wi-Fi access points, VLANs, VPNs and internet connections. Monitor performance and coordinate with ISPs and vendors to resolve issues.
- Security monitoring: Review firewall and endpoint alerts, investigate suspicious activity, respond to threats and escalate incidents. Maintain incident records and follow through on remediation.
- Endpoint management: Manage Endpoint security, MDM and similar tools for malware protection, patching, disk encryption and device security. Control administrator privileges and monitor compliance with approved configurations.
- Employee IT support: Resolve hardware, operating system, application, email and connectivity issues. Track support requests and document solutions to recurring problems.
- Access and asset management: Maintain IT inventories and handle device provisioning, user accounts, permissions,



onboarding and offboarding. Administer Google Workspace and support secure access for company-owned and BYOD devices.
- Servers and backups: Maintain assigned servers, virtual machines and shared storage. Monitor system health, verify backups and conduct periodic recovery checks.
- Compliance and documentation: Maintain network diagrams, configuration backups, access records and security reports. Implement agreed technical controls and support audits with evidence and corrective actions.

Required Skills and Experience

- 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, network administration or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, NAT and VPNs.
- Hands-on experience with business firewalls, managed switches, access points and endpoint security tools.
- Experience supporting Windows and macOS, with working knowledge of Linux.
- Understanding of MFA, least-privilege access, patch management and incident response.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise operational and security issues.

Preferred

- Experience with Sophos, Google Workspace, virtualisation and centralised logging.
- Exposure to ISO 27001 implementation, security audits or SOC 2 readiness.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+ or relevant vendor certifications.

Working Expectations

This is an on-site role, with occasional planned maintenance outside office hours and participation in an agreed incident-response arrangement.
