Role Description The Import Export Specialist is a full-time, in office role based in Alibag, responsible for managing end-to-end international trade operations for Nalinee Kaku’s food products. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating import and export documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and liaising with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies. The specialist will monitor shipments, track delivery timelines, and resolve any logistics or clearance issues to ensure smooth movement of goods.

This role also involves maintaining accurate records, preparing reports on trade activities,



and supporting internal teams with updated knowledge of international trade rules, tariffs, and regulations.

The Import Export

Specialist collaborates with production, quality, and finance teams to align trade operations with business needs, cost efficiency, and product integrity.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of Import, Export, and Import Export procedures, with hands-on experience managing cross-border shipments.
- Experience in International Trade, including familiarity with incoterms, trade agreements, and global food regulatory requirements.
- Practical understanding of Customs Brokerage processes, documentation, and compliance with customs and border regulations.
- Ability to work with logistics partners, transport providers, and internal stakeholders to plan and optimize shipment schedules.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing documentation, records, and regulatory filings.
- Effective communication skills in English and local languages, with the ability to coordinate across teams and external partners.
- Proficiency with basic office software and logistics or ERP systems; experience in food or FMCG sectors is an advantage.

- Relevant diploma or degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
