Role Description The Head Chef is a full time, on-site role based in Bikaner, responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations at Gallops Restaurant & Coffee House. This position leads the culinary team in planning menus, preparing dishes, and ensuring food quality and presentation align with the restaurant’s standards. Day-to-day tasks include supervising food preparation, managing inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety.

The Head

Chef trains and mentors kitchen staff, organizes work schedules, and collaborates with management on menu development and cost control. The role also involves monitoring customer feedback,



adjusting recipes or processes, and supporting a positive, efficient working environment.

Qualifications

- Experience in professional kitchens, with prior leadership as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or similar supervisory role.
- Strong culinary skills, including menu planning, recipe development, and preparation of a variety of cuisines.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen health and safety regulations.
- Ability to manage inventory, control food costs, and work effectively with suppliers.
- Proven team leadership skills, including training, scheduling, and performance guidance for kitchen staff.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities with front-of-house and management teams.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment and commitment to consistent quality and timely service.
- Formal culinary education or certification is preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting, ideally in a hospitality or tourist-focused location, is an advantage.
