We are currently recruiting for a Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping Team, offering an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, comfort and service that our patients, guests and visitors expect.

The Housekeeping Team plays an important role in ensuring a welcoming, safe and professional environment throughout the hotel and public areas. By maintaining exceptional cleanliness standards, the team contributes directly to the overall experience of guests and supports the reputation of NHS Golden Jubilee.

About The Role

As part of our Housekeeping Team, you will support the delivery of a clean, safe and welcoming environment for guests, conference delegates, patients and visitors. You will work closely with Housekeeping Supervisors, Managers and colleagues across the hotel to ensure high standards of cleanliness are consistently maintained.

Key Duties And Responsibilities Include

- Cleaning and maintaining guest bedrooms to a high standard.
- Ensuring public areas, corridors and service areas remain clean, tidy and free from obstruction.
- Using housekeeping equipment and cleaning products safely and effectively.




- Carrying out scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with NHS Scotland National Cleaning Specification and infection prevention requirements.
- Maintaining housekeeping trolleys and stock levels.
- Assisting with room set-up changes and deep-cleaning activities when required.
- Reporting maintenance issues, damage or incidents promptly.
- Following housekeeping security, key control and lost property procedures.
- Responding professionally to guest requests and helping to resolve issues.
- Contributing to departmental meetings and supporting the efficient operation of the Housekeeping service.

About You We are looking for someone who:

- Has previous experience working within housekeeping in a hotel or other guest accommodation environment.
- Demonstrates good communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
- Has knowledge of day-to-day housekeeping duties and cleaning procedures.
- Is able to work effectively as part of a team whilst also using their own initiative.
- Has good organisational skills and can adapt to changing demands and priorities.
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Is committed to delivering high standards of cleanliness and customer service.

It Would Be Advantageous If You Have

- An SVQ Level 2 qualification.
- Experience working within a 4-star hotel or NHS environment.
- Experience using commercial cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, buffers or steam cleaners.
- A high level of attention to detail.
