Department: Bakery, Bars & Confectionery (BBC) Applications

Reporting To: Application Team Leader – Bakery, Bars & Confectionery

Position Summary The Application Technologist will support development, evaluation and commercialization of ingredient solutions for bakery, bars and confectionery applications. The role involves product development, trial execution, technical evaluation, customer support and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

 Execute bakery, bars and confectionery formulation trials in laboratory and pilot-scale environments.

 Develop prototypes including cakes, cake premixes, cookies, biscuits, breads, tortillas,

crackers, nutrition bars and confectionery products.

 Evaluate ingredient functionality and optimize formulations for texture, taste,

processing and shelf-life.

 Perform analytical and sensory evaluations and prepare technical reports.

 Support customer demonstrations, technical presentations and plant trials.

 Coordinate raw materials, sample preparation and project timelines.

 Ensure compliance with laboratory GMP, food safety and workplace safety requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in food technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, Bakery

Science, or related disciplines.





 2–4 years of experience preferably in bakery, food ingredients and / or its application development.

Technical Competencies

Internal

 Bakery and confectionery processing technologies

 Ingredient functionality including enzymes, emulsifiers, hydrocolloids, proteins and starches

 Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word

 Technical reporting and presentation skills

Employment Terms

 Employment Type: Contractual / Fixed-Term Contract (12 Months

 Working Days: Monday to Friday

 Weekly Off: Saturday and Sunday
