Role Description The Fashion Designer will work on-site in New Delhi in a full-time capacity, contributing to the creation of seasonal and capsule collections. Day-to-day responsibilities include conceptualizing designs, creating sketches, selecting fabrics and trims, and collaborating with pattern makers, tailors, and embroidery artisans. The role involves overseeing fittings, refining garment construction, and ensuring that each piece aligns with Sitarraa’s aesthetic and quality standards.

The Fashion

Designer will research trends, traditional techniques, and textile innovations to integrate them into new collections, while maintaining the brand’s focus on Indian heritage. The position also requires coordination with production team to ensure designs are practical, market-ready, and delivered on schedule.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust Fashion Design and Fashion skills, including concept development, sketching, and collection planning.
- Candidates should possess solid Textiles knowledge, particularly in traditional Indian fabrics, weaves,



and surface techniques.
- Candidates should possess Embroidery expertise, with the ability to design and guide artisanal embroidery and embellishment work.
- Candidates should possess Fitting skills, including conducting fittings and refining patterns to achieve desired silhouettes and comfort.
- Candidates should ideally have proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop) and basic technical drawing.
- Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, creativity, time management, and collaborative communication with cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should have prior experience in fashion design of 5-6 years, preferably in ethnic, couture, or artisanal segments, and a portfolio showcasing relevant work.
- Candidates should preferably hold a diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
