Job Profile: Sr. Software Developer (IBM DataStage)

Location: Mumbai

Preferred experience: - 5.1-7 years The Role:

The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of the MIRO application. The role involves designing and optimizing ETL processes using IBM InfoSphere DataStage, along with SQL and PL/SQL development. The developer will handle data transformation, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and production support. The role also involves testing, documentation, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

· Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL jobs, sequences, and routines using IBM InfoSphere DataStage.

· Implement complex data transformations using Transformer, Lookup, Join, Aggregator, and Sort stages.

· Write, maintain,



and optimize SQL/PLSQL queries for Oracle databases.

· Develop Unix/Linux shell scripts for automation, job scheduling, and file monitoring.

· Monitor ETL job execution, troubleshoot failures, perform root cause analysis, and provide production support.

· Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, QA, and IT teams for technical specifications and source-to-target mappings.

· Participate in system testing, UAT, and regression testing.

· Leverage AI tools, LLMs, and APIs to support development activities.

· Prepare test cases, technical documentation, and deliver performance improvements.

Must - Have Qualifications:

· Hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere DataStage, including Designer, Director, and Administrator.

· Solid experience in SQL and Unix/Linux Shell Scripting.

· Experience with Oracle Database, preferably Oracle 19c.

· Experience in ETL development, data transformation, and production support.

· Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with PL/SQL and relational databases such as DB2 or SQL Server.

· Exposure to AI tools, LLMs, and API integrations.

· Experience in application maintenance and testing.

· French language proficiency.
