About us
We are a tech-enabled services startup that runs a two-sided marketplace. On one side are enterprise clients, many of them in financial data. On the other are around 1,000 people working for us remotely. We also run an RPO business that recruits and ramps teams for clients.
We are scaling up fast. Client volume is growing, recent accounts keep landing, and our operations have to keep up without breaking.
The role
This is the senior operations seat in the CEO's office. You will run the day-to-day operations of the business and build the systems it needs to grow without breaking. You will work closely with the CEO and a small Founders Office team.
You will not get a playbook. You will write it, put it in place, and hold people to it. When something slips, you find out why and fix the process, not just the case in front of you.
Volume is about to go up fast. We need someone who has been through a ramp like this before and knows what breaks first.
What you'll do
- Run delivery operations across client accounts, and make sure what we promise clients is what gets delivered, on time.
- Build the operating rhythm: weekly numbers, owners, deadlines, and reviews that people actually follow.
- Set up the metrics that matter (capacity, throughput, quality, cost per unit) and keep them accurate.
- Plan capacity for new accounts and ramps, including hiring, training, and handover, so we are ready before the start date.
- Find the gaps in people, process, and tools. Give each one an owner and a date, and escalate when it stays open.
- Decide where AI and automation should do the work and where a person must check it.
- Hire and lead the operations leads under you,
and fill gaps in the team, including making hiring changes.
- Work with finance on margins and pricing inputs, so decisions are based on real numbers.
- Take on CEO priority projects as needed.
Who you are
- 7+ years in operations, with at least 3 years leading an operations team (including leads under you) at a scaling startup or scale-up.
- You have run operations for a large, distributed workforce (hundreds to thousands of remote contributors) delivering to quality and deadline commitments for enterprise clients, at a marketplace such as Grab, Gojek or Uber, or a tech-enabled services business.
- You have built an operations function or a core process from zero, and it still ran after you stepped away. You can name the scope you led, what you built, and which number moved.
- You have run a ramp with a hard date and many people, and you can tell us what went wrong and what you changed.
- You think in numbers. You can trace a figure back to its source and explain it to a CEO who will question it.
- You have stayed long enough in your roles to see the results of your own decisions.
- You write clear, short, specific English. Most of the work happens in Slack and docs.
- You use AI tools every day, and you check what they give you before you use it.
Nice to have
- Founder's office, chief of staff, or strategy and operations experience at a high-growth company.
- Experience across Southeast Asia and India, with teams in several time zones.
- Exposure to SOC 2 or client compliance and audit work.
- An early-stage startup on your CV that you helped grow.
- Experience with managed services delivery for enterprise clients.
