- Lead end-to-end Engine/Powertrain Development, covering Engine Design, Mechanical Development and Calibration for Diesel, Petrol and CNG powertrains.
- Drive cross-functional engineering teams to achieve performance, emission, quality, cost and product launch targets.
- Manage engineering budgets, technical issue resolution, field quality improvements and future powertrain technology development.
- Drive effective coordination across Design, Mechanical Development, and Calibration functions to ensure robust product development and successful achievement of performance, quality, cost, and timing targets
- Capability to lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones and technical objectives.
- Establish robust collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Suppliers, Platform Teams, COE, and Program Management teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Assess vehicle interface systems and ensure effective cross-functional integration to optimize overall powertrain performance and vehicle functionality.
- Develop and manage engineering project budgets, ensuring optimal utilization of manpower, testing, prototype, and validation resources.
- Collaborate with Program Management and Finance teams to prepare project cost estimates, budget forecasts, and business case evaluations.




- Ability to engage stakeholders at various organizational levels.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Platform, COE, Product planning, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Support smooth engine / vehicle launch activities by providing timely technical resolutions during pilot builds, pre-production, and SOP phases
- Drive cost optimization and value engineering initiatives through innovative ideas, design improvements, and process enhancements while maintaining product performance and quality targets.
- Ensure robust issue resolution through structured root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Improve field quality performance by supporting warranty investigations, customer complaint resolution, and continuous product improvements
- Standardize calibration methodologies, development processes, and best practices across projects to improve engineering efficiency.
- Ensure optimum utilization of development resources, test facilities, and budgets to achieve program objectives
- Support future technology development initiatives related to advanced combustion concepts, alternative fuels, hybridization, and next-generation emission technologies
