Company Description Birla Cotsyn (India) Limited, established in 1941, operates a large textile manufacturing unit in the industrial belt of Central India, with facilities in Malkapur and Khamgaon, Maharashtra. The company specializes in Cotton Ring Spun Yarn, Open End Yarn, and Synthetic Blended Yarn, supported by state-of-the-art machinery. Its product range includes 100% Grey Cotton Yarn, Grey and Dyed Solid Griddles, Fancy, Knitting, and Weaving Yarns in various blends and counts, sold through a strong domestic and international sales network.

The Malkapur facility spans about 100 acres, housing approximately 42,000 spindles for combed and compact cotton yarn production and 114 airjet looms. The state government has granted the project “Mega Project Status,” highlighting its scale and importance.

Role Description This is a full-time, in office Desktop Support Engineer role based at the Malkapur facility.

The Desktop Support

Engineer will provide day-to-day technical support for desktop computers, peripherals, and printers used across the manufacturing and office environments.

Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and operating systems, troubleshooting user issues,



and ensuring minimal downtime for production and administrative teams. The role will involve responding to support tickets, performing routine maintenance checks, updating software and drivers, and documenting incidents and resolutions. The engineer will collaborate with IT and operations staff to maintain a stable, secure, and efficient technology environment that supports business and plant operations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Desktop Computers and Technical Support.
- Candidates should possess practical experience in Printer Support and Troubleshooting.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Computer Hardware and basic networking concepts.
- Relevant skills such as operating system installation, user account management, and antivirus/security tools are beneficial.
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment are required.
- Experience in industrial or plant-based IT support will be considered an advantage.
