? We’re hiring a Design Manager at Flipspaces, Mumbai

We design and build commercial interiors with an AI-powered platform, in-house manufacturing and end-to-end execution. We have built 10M+ sq. ft. for startups, enterprises and global brands, and a $50M Series C is helping us scale across India, the US and the Middle East.

We’re looking for a hands-on Design Manager who knows commercial offices inside out and can take a design from first layout to a clean, buildable BOQ.

What you’ll do

- Develop 2D space plans and layouts for commercial offices from client briefs
- Apply sound design principles for workspaces: space planning, circulation, workstation and meeting-room mix, collaboration areas, lighting, acoustics and brand expression
- Build and review 3D models, and carry out the quantity assessment (QA) from them, the first step to an accurate BOQ
- Prepare BOQs aligned with the design intent, and work with estimation to keep designs within budget
- Use AI tools to speed up concepts, visuals and documentation
- Present design concepts to clients and handle feedback and revisions
- Coordinate with sales, projects and procurement so what is designed can actually be delivered on time and within cost

Who we’re looking for

- 3–4+ years of design experience, ideally in commercial office spaces
- Experience in residential or hospitality design is also welcome
- Hands-on across 2D layouts, 3D modelling, quantity assessment (QA) and BOQs, and able to do the work yourself, not only review it
- A good grasp of commercial office design standards and how to plan for them
- Hands-on with AI tools in design work
- Fluency in design tools such as AutoCAD and SketchUp, or similar
- Clear communication, careful attention to detail and comfort working to tight timelines
- Immediate joiners preferred
- Based in or willing to work from Mumbai

Why Flipspaces

- Work on a steady flow of live commercial projects across industries
- A design team that works closely with in-house manufacturing, so designs get built the way you drew them
- Tools and technology that make the design process faster
- A quick-growing company with room to grow into larger roles
