Join Kāli at a formative momentKāli is building a contemporary luxury house from India, with handbags and jewellery shaped by material, craft, mythology and design. We are looking for a designer who wants to work close to the objects themselves and help shape how the world encounters them.

This is a varied, hands-on role for someone trained in accessory design, with a particular interest in handbags, leather goods or jewellery. You will move between product thinking, visual storytelling, content and the website, helping turn ideas into work people can see, feel and remember.

What you will work on

- Contribute to the design and development of handbags, small leather goods and jewellery through sketches, references, design details and presentation material.
- Help translate Kāli’s design language into compelling product stories, campaign imagery and digital content.
- Create social media posts, carousels, stories and other visual assets, with a strong sense of composition, typography and restraint.
- Edit short-form video, including Reels, founder films, product films and behind-the-scenes footage.
- Help develop content around the founder’s journey, the making of Kāli, luxury and design insights, and Field Notes from Antiquity.
- Update and maintain the website, including product pages, imagery and approved brand content.
- Support shoots and content production by preparing shot lists, organising assets and coordinating with photographers, editors and other collaborators.




- Use AI tools to explore ideas and support image, video and production workflows, while checking every output for accuracy, quality and brand fit.
- Keep design files, product information and digital assets organised.

You may be right for this if
- You have formal design training from NIFT, NID or a comparable design institute, preferably in accessory design.
- Your portfolio includes handbags, leather goods, jewellery or related accessories.
- You understand how form, proportion, materials, construction and finish shape a product.
- You enjoy both designing an object and finding the right way to present it.
- You have a strong eye for fashion and editorial imagery, and can work across static design and moving image.
- You are comfortable with design and editing tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign, Premiere Pro or After Effects, and Canva.
- You are curious and capable with AI creative tools, and know when an output needs a human eye and a careful edit.
- You are organised, resourceful and comfortable working closely with the founder in a small, evolving team.
