Job Overview

Jerai Fitness Ltd. is seeking a skilled Design Engineer with expertise in SolidWorks, 3D modelling, and mechanical design. The role involves developing 3D models, preparing 2D engineering drawings, supporting new product development, and implementing design modifications. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and product development to deliver accurate and production-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities

3D Design & Modelling

- Create detailed 3D models of components, assemblies, and mechanisms using SolidWorks.
- Develop design concepts and convert engineering requirements into practical designs.
- Prepare parametric models with proper design intent and configuration management.




- Modify existing designs based on engineering, customer, production, and quality requirements.
- Prepare 2D engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed manufacturing drawings.

New Product Development

- Support concept development, prototyping, testing, and product validation.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
- Implement engineering changes within agreed timelines.
- Support the transition of new designs from development to production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product performance and manufacturability.

Engineering Documentation & Production Support

- Prepare and maintain technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and design documentation.
- Ensure designs meet engineering specifications and manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and purchase teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Identify opportunities for product improvement, cost optimization, and design standardization.

Qualification & Skills:

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Polytechnic is mandatory.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modelling, assemblies, and 2D drafting.
- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and mechanical components.
- Experience in recent product development and design modifications will be preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
