- Purpose of the Role

This role holds end-to-end responsibility for GreenSM's electric two-wheeler operations in India (bike-taxi and related services). It covers setting up the operating model, building the driver-partner base, managing the fleet and charging/battery-swapping infrastructure, and ensuring service quality, safety and cost efficiency.

The role leads the city-by-city scale-up of the two-wheeler business and delivers the company's growth, quality and profitability targets.

- Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Expansion Planning

- Work with the CEO to develop the two-wheeler strategy and city-by-city expansion roadmap (city launch playbook).
- Build the operating model, budget (P&L;) and phased performance targets.
- Analyze the market and recommend timely strategic adjustments.

Fleet & Infrastructure Operations

- Manage the full lifecycle of the electric two-wheeler fleet: onboarding, allocation, maintenance, repair and disposal.
- Deploy and optimize the charging/battery-swapping network, parking hubs, depots and service workshops.
- Work with vehicle manufacturers, battery suppliers, energy providers and logistics partners to ensure stable supply.

Driver-Partners

- Build the model for driver recruitment, training, onboarding, performance evaluation and retention.
- Design earnings, incentive and bonus policies suited to the Indian market.
- Manage relationships with drivers and unions/associations (where applicable), and handle grievances.

Service Quality, Safety & Customer Experience

- Set service standards and safety protocols (SOS, trip monitoring, insurance, protective gear).
- Track key metrics: acceptance/cancellation rates, pickup time, customer ratings and safety incidents.
- Partner with Product/Technology teams to improve the app and dispatch tools.

Compliance & Government Relations

- Ensure compliance with traffic, bike-taxi, EV,



labor and insurance regulations in each state.
- Engage with central and state authorities on licenses and EV incentive schemes (such as FAME/PM E-DRIVE and state-specific policies).

Financial Management & Efficiency

- Own operating costs and unit economics (cost per trip, cost per km, fleet utilization).
- Propose cost-optimization initiatives and improve margins.

Organizational Leadership

- Build and lead the operations management team (City GMs, Fleet, Driver Ops, Quality & Safety, Supply Chain).
- Foster a disciplined, data-driven operating culture and support knowledge transfer from the Vietnam team (Xanh SM) to India.

- Candidate Requirements

Experience

- At least 12–15 years of operations experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership (Director/VP/Deputy CEO level).
- Experience managing large-scale operations in ride-hailing, bike-taxi, delivery/logistics, electric vehicles or mobility.
- Track record of scaling across multiple cities, preferably in India or similar high-population markets.
- Deep understanding of the EV ecosystem: electric two-wheelers, batteries, and charging/swapping infrastructure.

Skills & Competencies

- Data-driven operational mindset; strong command of unit economics and P&L; management.
- Leadership ability to build and develop multicultural teams.
- Strong negotiation skills with partners, suppliers and government authorities.
- Ability to make fast decisions in a high-growth, quick-changing environment.
- Fluent English; Hindi or other local language skills are a strong advantage.

Education

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics or a related field; an MBA is an advantage.

5. Working Conditions
- Full-time position with frequent travel between cities and occasional travel to Vietnam.
