Role Description

This is a full-time, in office role based in Gurugram for a Cost Analysis Engineer. The role involves analyzing product and component costs for office furniture and soft seating, preparing detailed cost breakdowns, and supporting pricing decisions.

The Cost Analysis

Engineer will collect and interpret production, material, and labor data to identify cost drivers and opportunities for savings.



Day-to-day responsibilities include performing failure analysis and testing-related cost evaluations, reviewing simulations and design changes for cost impact, and collaborating with engineering, production, and procurement teams. The position also requires preparing reports, maintaining cost databases, and supporting management with data-driven recommendations for budgeting and profitability improvement.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in in Civil Engineering or relevant experience in the furniture line.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials used in furniture or related industries, and basic cost accounting concepts.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant engineering or CAD tools; experience with ERP or costing software is an advantage.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams on-site.
