Role Description The Furniture Cost Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Udupi. This role involves preparing detailed cost estimates for modular and solid wood furniture, customized interiors, and project-based orders. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing drawings and specifications, quantifying materials, estimating labor and manufacturing costs, and preparing budgets and quotations.

The estimator collaborates with design, production, and sales teams to optimize costs, track project financials, and support pricing decisions. The role also includes updating cost databases, reviewing vendor quotes,



and providing timely cost insights to ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Cost Management and Cost Control skills to maintain accurate and competitive project pricing.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret designs, specifications, and project requirements effectively.
- Candidates should possess experience in Project Estimation to prepare detailed and reliable cost breakdowns for furniture and interior projects.
- Candidates should possess Budgeting skills to support financial planning, quotation preparation, and margin analysis.
- Degree or diploma in engineering, interior design, quantity surveying, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, estimation software, and basic CAD or drawing review tools is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with design, production, procurement, and sales teams.
- Prior experience in furniture manufacturing, interiors, or construction-related estimating will be an advantage.
