Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Corporate Accounting Manager to join our Global Finance team in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

This is a Manager-level controllership role with primary responsibility for the preparation, review and management of Group financial statements and quarterly reporting. The role will also oversee consolidation, financial close, audit readiness, accounting controls and key corporate compliance requirements across KNAV's global entities.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on financial reporting experience and the ability to take end-to-end ownership of reporting quality, timelines, controls and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual Group financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, notes and supporting schedules.
- Manage Group consolidation, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, foreign currency translation and consolidation adjustments.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes, including review of material journal entries, accruals, provisions, fixed assets and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure financial reporting is aligned primarily with US GAAP, with appropriate consideration of IFRS, Ind AS and local statutory reporting requirements.
- Coordinate Group and statutory audits, maintain audit-ready financial records and drive timely resolution of audit queries and observations.
- Oversee key statutory, tax and regulatory compliance requirements across Group entities,

including compliance calendars, documentation, controls and timely escalation of exceptions.
- Strengthen accounting policies, financial controls, SOPs, review mechanisms and reporting governance across entities.
- Review financial information, investigate unusual balances and variances, and provide clear insights to Finance leadership.
- Lead and review the work of accounting team members, ensuring accountability for quality, accuracy and reporting timelines.
- Drive standardization, automation and continuous improvement across accounting, financial reporting and compliance processes.

Qualifications & Experience

- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred; CPA or equivalent professional qualification may also be considered.
- Ideally 7-10 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting, controllership, financial reporting or public accounting.
- Strong hands-on experience in financial statement preparation and review, Group consolidation and period-end closing.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP; exposure to IFRS and/or Ind AS would be an advantage.
- Experience working in a multi-entity or multinational workplace.
- Sound understanding of accounting controls, audit requirements and corporate compliance governance.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems. Exposure to NetSuite would be an advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and team leadership capabilities.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who goes beyond preparing schedules and takes end-to-end ownership of financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting expertise with professional skepticism, attention to detail and a practical understanding of materiality and business impact. The individual should be comfortable challenging numbers, resolving accounting and control issues, managing multiple deadlines, developing the team and communicating effectively with senior finance leadership.
