About the Role

Role Overview The role involves supporting equity research through structured data collection, market tracking, and analytical inputs across primary market activity, listed companies, and thematic research initiatives. The individual will contribute to both daily and long-form investment content by maintaining datasets, trackers, and research notes.





Key Responsibilities

Primary Market and Corporate Actions Tracking

- Track IPOs, FPOs, REITs, INVITs, and Rights Issues from announcement to listing.
- Extract and compile data from public sources such as DRHPs, RHPs, exchange filings, and regulatory disclosures.
- Maintain and regularly update subscription trackers during issue periods with accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct pre-IPO and post-listing tracking by maintaining structured trackers covering the full lifecycle from draft filings to post-listing performance.

Data Research and Analytics

- Use databases such as ACE for financial data extraction and research support.
- Perform data collection, cleaning, and validation for use in research stories and analytical outputs.
- Track promoter actions including pledging, stake sales, and equity dilution over time, and flag patterns that may require closer scrutiny.

Content and Story Support

- Support the preparation of daily and weekly stories through data inputs and research assistance.
- Work with Datawrapper to support charts, tables, and visual datasets used in published stories.

Idea Pipeline and Thematic Tracking

- Assist in maintaining the internal idea pipeline by tracking emerging sector themes, corporate actions, regulatory developments, and unusual market activity.
- Identify and flag early story triggers based on data trends, filings, or market developments.

Key Skills and Attributes

- Strong ability to work with structured data and public disclosures.
- Attention to detail and consistency in maintaining trackers and datasets.
- Basic understanding of equity markets, primary market processes, and corporate actions.
- Ability to identify patterns and anomalies in financial and shareholding data.
- Comfortable working across multiple stories, datasets, and timelines simultaneously.
