Role Overview

TutorCloud is seeking a hands-on Senior Azure Cloud & Security Platform Engineer to design, build, secure, and operate our globally distributed SaaS platform on Microsoft Azure. This role requires a strong focus on high availability, security, global operations, and modern endpoint management.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Azure cloud services, security architecture, endpoint management, and Microsoft 365 administration. The role demands a security-first mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to independently manage production environments and critical incidents in a 24x7 global setup.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Cloud Platform Management

- Design, deploy, and manage highly available, globally distributed SaaS platforms on Microsoft Azure.
- Administer Azure PaaS services including:
- Azure App Services, Azure Front Door, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Blob Storage
- Design and implement multi-region architectures for high availability and low-latency access.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Monitor platform health and ensure 24x7 uptime across production environments.

Security & Identity Management
- Implement secure-by-design cloud architectures and security best practices.
- Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), including:
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)




- Managed Identities
- Conditional Access Policies
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Implement and manage Azure Key Vault for secrets and certificate management.
- Support compliance initiatives, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other security audits.
- Integrate and manage security monitoring using Microsoft Sentinel and SIEM solutions.
- Implement Zero Trust security principles and Web Application Firewall (WAF) policies.

Endpoint Management
- Manage enterprise endpoint environments using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
- Implement zero-touch device provisioning where devices are shipped directly to users and automatically configured upon login.
- Enforce organizational security policies, device compliance, and endpoint governance globally.

Microsoft 365 Administration
- Administer and support:
- Exchange Online
- SharePoint Online
- Microsoft Teams
- Manage user lifecycle processes, access provisioning, and secure collaboration capabilities.
- Implement secure document sharing and access controls across the organization.

DevOps, Monitoring & Operations
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Monitor applications and infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
- Optimize platform performance, reliability, and cloud costs.
- Lead incident response activities, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.




- Support globally distributed teams and users across multiple regions.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6–10 years of overall IT experience, with at least 3 years of hands-on Azure experience.
- Solid expertise in:
- Azure App Services
- Azure Front Door
- Azure Cosmos DB
- Azure Storage Services
- Azure Key Vault
- Azure Monitor and Application Insights
- Deep understanding of:
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Identity and Access Management
- RBAC and Managed Identities
- Cloud Security Best Practices
- Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Intune
- Windows Autopilot
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Scripting and Automation
- Infrastructure as Code tools (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)
- Experience supporting SaaS platforms and 24x7 production environments.
- Exposure to security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

Preferred Qualifications

- Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or Azure Security Engineer.
- Experience implementing Zero Trust architecture.
- Hands-on experience with WAF policies and advanced security controls.
- Experience designing and operating multi-region Azure architectures.
- Experience supporting a globally distributed remote workforce.
