Role Description The Chartered Accountant at MarkCos Agency will manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of financial statements. The role involves overseeing budgeting and forecasting, monitoring cash flows, and ensuring accurate cost tracking for marketing and advertising projects.

The Chartered

Accountant will be responsible for tax planning and compliance, regulatory filings, and liaison with auditors and financial institutions. They will provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decisions, assess profitability of campaigns, and advise on process improvements and internal controls. This is a full-time,



on-site role based in Kolkata, requiring close collaboration with the leadership and project teams.

Qualifications

- Recognized Chartered Accountant qualification (CA) with strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, preferably in marketing, advertising, or professional services.
- Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets, with solid skills in data analysis and financial modeling.
- Knowledge of tax laws, compliance requirements, and regulatory frameworks relevant to Indian businesses.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and explain financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
- Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and a commitment to ethical financial practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; prior experience in an agency or consulting environment is an advantage.
