We are hiring: Business Development Specialist – Bhatru.com

Bhatru.com is a Jana Seva platform that helps families discover and arrange Indian traditional religious, cultural, and family services. We connect families with trusted Bhatru, Purohit, Parikarmi, Pandit, Shastri, Jyotishya and Astrology practitioners, cooks, caterers, and other service providers.

We are looking for a Business Development Specialist for a full time remote role to help expand our network of service providers and users across South and Coastal Karnataka.

Regions of focus Udupi, Mangaluru, Puttur, Kasaragod, Gokarna, Dharwad, Belagavi, Ashoke, Kukke Subrahmanya, and Asia Region

.

Responsibilities

- Identify and onboard suitable Bhatru, Purohit, Parikarmi, Pandit, Shastri, Jyotishya/Astrologers, cooks, caterers, and other service providers.
- Generate leads and build long-term relationships with service providers and customers.
- Conduct market research to understand regional requirements, traditions, ceremony practices, and customer preferences.
- Handle partner and customer enquiries professionally and respectfully.
- Support online and offline outreach activities to increase awareness and adoption of Bhatru.com.
- Assist in maintaining and improving service listings and partner information.
- Maintain records of leads, outreach, follow-ups, conversions, and other business development activities.
- Track and maintain assigned KPIs and provide regular updates on progress.
- Work independently in a remote environment with good time management and consistent follow-through.

Requirements:

- Fluent English communication is mandatory.
- Strong communication, relationship-building,



and customer service skills.
- Experience in business development, sales, partnerships, community outreach, hospitality, or service-based businesses is preferred.
- Good understanding of or genuine exposure to Indian traditions, Poojas, religious ceremonies, astrology/Jyotishya, basic Shastras, and regional customs.
- Familiarity with vegetarian and Sattvic food practices, traditional cooking, and family-specific food customs.
- Ability to communicate respectfully with families, practitioners, cooks, and community members.
- Comfortable with lead generation, market research, CRM or productivity tools, documentation, and KPI tracking.
- Good self-organization, time management, and follow-through.

Language preference

Fluency or working proficiency in Kannada, Tulu, Hindi, Malayalam, and English is preferred. Candidates who can communicate in multiple regional languages will be given preference.
