Assistant Restaurant Manager | Gong – Modern Asian Restaurant

Gong is looking for an enthusiastic, guest-focused Assistant Restaurant Manager to join the pre-opening team of its premium Modern Asian restaurant in Vasant Kunj, Delhi.

This is an chance to help build a team, establish service standards and deliver a memorable dining experience from day one.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Restaurant Manager with pre-opening planning, operational readiness and launch preparations.
- Assist in recruiting, training and developing the front-of-house team.
- Establish and implement service SOPs, opening and closing checklists, and guest-handling standards.
- Manage daily floor operations, reservations, table allocation and service coordination.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure consistent quality and timely service.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
- Drive sales through product knowledge, suggestive selling and personalised guest engagement.
- Monitor staffing,



duty rosters, inventory, costs and outlet upkeep.
- Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene and company standards.

Candidate Profile

- Relevant supervisory or assistant managerial experience in a premium standalone restaurant, upscale dining venue or reputed hotel.
- Strong leadership, communication and guest relationship skills.
- Sound understanding of restaurant operations, service etiquette, POS systems and team management.
- Knowledge of Asian cuisine and beverage service would be an advantage.
- Previous pre-opening experience preferred.
- A hands-on approach, attention to detail and the ability to perform in a busy service environment.
- A degree or diploma in Hotel Management is preferred.
