Position: Assistant Manager – Import Customs & Compliance

Client: Bajaj Auto Limited

Location: Pune, Akurdi.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor BAL's import shipments and ensure timely customs clearance.
- Coordinate with Head Office, transporters, freight forwarders, and courier agents.
- Handle import customs-related queries and prepare draft responses to Customs authorities.
- Authenticate deferred duty payments and coordinate with ICEGATE for system-related issues and facility restoration.
- Maintain and update IGCRD records and Bajaj Auto licence records.
- Prepare and file periodic statutory returns.
- Handle re-export of rejected goods imported under IGCRD.
- Manage documentation for goods sent abroad for repairs and their subsequent return.
- Ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations and documentation requirements.
- Perform any other activities assigned by Bajaj Auto from time to time.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of Import Customs Clearance and EXIM procedures.
- Familiarity with ICEGATE, IGCRD, and deferred duty payment.
- Valuable coordination, documentation, and communication skills.
